  2. Awesome points you are making here Jessica. I like the point about making baby steps. When changing your lifestyle around, changing too many things at once is too overwhelming and can stop you from continuing. It is better to be slow but steady. I also use FitBit, mine is the Charge HR, and I absolutely love it.

  3. This is a great summary of roadblocks which may be hindering anyone from getting healthy and losing weight (if necessary). I think weight loss should be a side-effect of getting healthy, not the other way around.

I am not fond of the term "fat" because the excess that's there isn't fat, it's usually toxins the body has stored because it didn't know what else to do with it.

This is an excellent article for those who have been on dieting yo-yos for a period of time, and hope it provides motivation and inspiration for good health!

    1. Loving yourself enough to feed your body well and move it well. Yes, weight loss (or in some cases, [healthy] weight gain), is a byproduct of a fulfilling wellness journey. Thanks for stopping by!

  5. Great tips! I love the idea of lifestyle changes versus diets. I liked this point, "she measures her weight by how many pounds she can squat and how many vegetables she eats. She also says that her weight does not equal her health."

  7. A simple pedometer is good enough. We bought FitBit for my hubby for his birthday and he used it for about 3 weeks. Once he noticed his pattern, he stopped using it. What a waste of money. All the gadgets and apps in the world can not make you move or get healthy. YOU have to want it and be disciplined enough to make 'any' regimen to be part of your LIFESTYLE. Great post Jessica!

    1. Thanks a lot for leaving some personal feedback. Yes, I agree, the pedometers are simple and easy to use. I wear mine daily. I still haven't decided on a different fitness tracker. Thanks for echoing my sentiments about a lifestyle choice - fitness and eating well. =)
