    1. Thanks Sheryl. It's an easy mantra to incorporate. Make your change whatever you want it to be! It's affirming for sure. Be well, Jessica =)

  2. I love how simple and straightforward you make wellness. The best change I ever made for my family was cooking at home more. Not only do I enjoy it, but I also enjoy controlling what our family eats. Plus, we save money!

    1. Cooking and eating at home definitely increases family values. It becomes a happy norm. And for the parents who exude patience, having the kids cook with them is a rewarding experience, too, just as you know personally through the sharing on your blog, The Good Long Road. =)

    1. Emily, what is your "One Simple Change" for this day, week, month, or year? I'd love to hear what folks are striving towards for their long term wellness.

  4. Thanks Jennifer for the practical, effective "solutions" for the new year. I saw it on “Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural” Party Hop 49. I need to put more focus on exercise. Once I sit down at my computer, good intentions fly out the window. I've decided I need to exercise before I sit down at my desk. Isn't that a good idea? Loved this blog post. Thanks for sharing (by the way I posted it on Facebook to share the love). Warm regards, Nancy Andres @ obloggernewbie.blogspot.com

    1. Thanks Nancy for your comment and sharing of my post but my name is Jessica. =) [Conveying Awareness with Jessica David.]

Good intentions are like positive thoughts but you're right we need to put them into action. Sticky notes help me when I'm starting a new project that I feel I may not stick to. I like your idea of exercising before siting down to write. Excellent!

      Be well,
      Jessica

    2. So sorry Jessica. The minute I posted the comment I realized my mistake. I couldn't figure out how to change it so I left it alone. What a great idea to use sticky notes. I'm going to put one on the side of my computer screen and another where I keep my athletic shoes as reminders to exercise first thing in the morning. Live well. Love well. Lead a colorful life! 6. I like the idea of finding out what ingredients are in things and eliminating some of those processed foods little by little. Great alternatives and encouragement here. :)

  7. I love this. I recommitted myself to eating real food and cooking everything from scratch this year, but fitness is a struggle. My one simple change this month is to start up yoga again.

  8. These are some great tips. In the last year, I've cooked at home a LOT more, using real ingredients and rarely prepared. Food seems to just taste better after a while. :)
